This access panel is ideal for installing over any type of surface.  There is a on inch exposed flange that completely conceals the wall or ceiling opening to provide a smooth structured look to an already finished wall.  The door is 14 gauge and the frame is 16 gauge cold rolled steel with a 1" flange.  The panel is phosphate dipped and prime coated.
